Sewa Bharati Purvanchal successfully inaugurated a Kishori Vikas Kendra in Golaghat district of North Assam with the objective of promoting the overall development, health awareness, and self-reliance of adolescent girls. The initiative aims to empower young girls by providing them with essential knowledge, life skills, and opportunities for personal growth.
The newly established centre will serve as a platform for continuous learning and development through a variety of educational and skill-based activities. Regular sessions will be conducted on health education, personal hygiene, nutrition awareness, menstrual hygiene management, personality development, moral values, and skill development training.
In addition to these activities, the centre will organize expert counselling sessions to address the physical, emotional, and social challenges faced by adolescent girls. Yoga practice sessions will help promote physical and mental well-being, while self-defence training will equip participants with confidence and practical skills for personal safety.
The Kishori Vikas Kendra has been established with a vision to create informed, confident, and self-reliant young women who can contribute positively to their families, communities, and society. Through structured guidance and continuous support, the centre seeks to nurture leadership qualities and encourage holistic development among adolescent girls.
The inauguration program witnessed enthusiastic participation from local karyakartas, social workers, and community members who appreciated the initiative and expressed their commitment to supporting the development and empowerment of young girls in the region.
